Bio:

During my 35 years of being a Golf Professional I have worked at every function of the golf club. The early years were to prepare me for being a Head Golf Professional at a country club. As the golf business has changed over the years, so have my priorities.  Growing the game and helping people enjoy their game, is what I am meant to do. I love the game of golf…it’s what I do …it’s who I am, it has been since I was 12 years old. To be able to help students enjoy the game, uphold the tradition of sportsmanship, honesty, and integrity that golf is known for, makes me proud to be a PGA Professional.
What started out as teaching has evolved to include coaching and mentoring…something I take seriously. Knowing how a PGA Professional inspired me, not only to be a better golfer, but to be a BETTER PERSON.   My goal is to offer the kids I teach and coach the same. Since 1998 I have taught hundreds of kids at Rancho Carlsbad. Some played competitively in high school and college while some just wanted to learn how to get the ball around the course. I’m happy with both as long as you play. Watching kids gain confidence while getting better at playing the game is still very gratifying to me. Teaching adults and seniors is also very rewarding. Keeping the instruction easy to understand as well as taking a great interest in my students success is important to me.
Rancho Carlsbad has been my home for many years. I feel I could not have picked a better place to teach. Having a wonderful grass range, being able to take my students on the golf course to play makes learning the game more fun. The “feeling” you get when your here is one of peace and relaxation, something that we can all use from time to time.
